Guided Hiking to Mt. Cachueta

We are located in mountains and not just any, but with access to several impressive hiking trials. they are not world famous unfortunately. The airplane crash site, High altitude peaks view view of glaciers, volcanos, lakes and pampas., The trail starts right from our property.

First half an hour is rather easy, slowly gaining elevation until we reach clay mine hidden in the mountains. Then it gets steep and challenging all the way to the top. You need a good physical condition to complete it, but the view from the top compensates all the difficulty. It takes 3h to go up with high level of physical fitness, but of course it's doable for everyone in a bit longer time. You'll go through semi arid desert full of cactuses and short bushes. On the top you may get the chance to observe flying eagles or even Andean condor. Most likely you'll not find other people on this trail and you'll be able to enjoy fully the peace and tranquility of the mountain. The way down shouldn't take more than 2h if you follow the same trail. However if you want to make this trek longer there's an option to go down on the other side of the mountain and end up at the Potrerillos Lake. Going that way and then coming back to our property will take aorund 3h.
