5 hours horse riding
What sets apart riding a horse to a bike is that it’s a living creature and you are not the one fully in charge. It’s a mutual deal between you and the animal. Thus it is important to get to know your horse, connect with it, before you get on the saddle. That's why the beginning we dedicate to teaching you how to brush a horse, saddle up properly, read horse's body language and what to do once you're in the saddle. This part will take about 30 minutes, then we're ready to set off.
TRAIL MAP
Day by Day
After 30 minutes of preparation we start our ride towards big rocks viewpoint, which will take about an hour. Once we’re there, we’ll take 10 minutes break for you to go up and enjoy the panoramic view from the top of the rocks. Then we will continue going deeper into the mountains, where eventually we’ll find a crashed air plane stuck between them – a testimony to the fatal accident in 2010 and in which 3 people lost their lives. We’ll take 1 hour break at the air plane, during which we’ll have lunch and let horses to graze in the meantime.
The plane is at the altitude of 2000m and you’ll have opportunity during lunch break to climb nearby peaks of 2200m to enjoy stunning views of the vast and empty landscape, with Potrerillos lake on one side, Las Vegas town on the other side and high mountains (5000-6000m peaks) of Cordon del Plata in the background. After 1h rest, we start riding back to the camp.
